Horseback Riding
We had heard about Paul and Jill's Stable and thought we would check it out. The last time I was on a horse was in Morocco. It took off, and after it ran around for an hour, it must have gotten hungry and headed home.
Jill sizes you up and decides which horse is best for you. She looked
at me a little longer than most and gave me a big, but very controllable
horse. Now, beside deciding which horse went with which rider, she also
had the job of deciding which horse would follow which horse. "I'll
put her behind him because they like each other, but I can't put that one
behind that one because he likes to bite her."
Jill and Paul got everything worked out and before we knew it, we were clunking down the road. I was glad to see that my horse decided not to take off and seemed to like his place in line - Nice Horsey. Jill guided us through the trees and over the hills on a very casual relaxing ride. I was enjoying this ride with views of the Caribbean in the background.
Jill points out many things along the way. This is not science folks. But rather things that she likes and remembers seeing as a child. "Look, there is the hanging-on tree (a tree hanging on to the side of the hill), and over there is the butthole tree." She also points out a host of facts about St. Croix, and takes you to the place she last remembers seeing a swarm of zebra butterflies.
